We made the first prototypes of linerless rolls back in the nineteen eighties. We then modified our coating machine ready for production. However, the market was simply not ready for linerless. This was not only due to “unknown is unloved”, but also to the absence of suitable processing methods for labels without liners. This has certainly changed, and the processing methods are available. Many producers now use linerless labels and benefit from all the advantages.

Enter 2014! Belona invested in a coater for the production of linerless labels with either a full and partial adhesive coating. We are the sole company in the Benelux that can produce linerless labels in-house that are suitable for use in every linerless concept. We, with our contacts in the packaging industry, are in a position to answer all your questions and help you determine your linerless label packaging strategy.

We, as the producer of linerless labels, can select from our stock of various materials. This, in combination with our experience in the industry – with coating, material applications and adhesives used at our customers – ensures that we supply top quality. We also carry out in-line tests of our linerless labels during production and off-line tests of the finished products.
